Private Ordering is reserved for offerings shared directly with current or past Takes the Cake wedding clients, including wedding tasting boxes and anniversary cakes. Availability is limited, and items may be removed or paused as dates fill.

Once checkout is complete, you’ll receive a link in the confirmation email to schedule your pickup timeslot.

Private Ordering availability generally follows the Main Bakeshop Availability page, where currently open pickup dates are posted in advance. Dates are limited and may be paused or removed as dates fill.
Planning from out of town? If you’re interested in a wedding tasting and the listed pickup dates do not align with your visit, reach out directly and we can talk through possible options.

Pickup is from my home bakery in Salem, Virginia.
General Pickup hours:
Friday: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM–10:30 AM

Tastings are a lovely way to explore cake and filling combinations while you plan. Please note that ordering a tasting does not reserve your wedding date or confirm a custom cake order.
Dates may be available when you inquire, consult, or order a tasting, but are not reserved until your cake details are finalized and the required contract and deposit are complete.
