All cakes are 3 layers (2 layers of filling) unless otherwise noted. Servings sizes are based on a generous party size 1.5x2” slice.

Ordering Instructions

Choose an available date. Select your preferred pickup date from the date dropdown to reserve it. Dates are released 2–3 months in advance and are removed as they fill; if a date is not listed, it is unavailable.

Select your pickup time. After purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to schedule your pickup time.

Online cakes are offered as listed. Flavor substitutions and design customizations are not available. For signature flavors or a custom cake, please submit a Custom Inquiry at least four weeks before pickup.

Pickup location. Takes the Cake is a home-based microbakery in Salem, Virginia, about one mile from the Sheetz on West Main Street. Your pickup address is included in your confirmation email.
