How to Order

  2. Choose your flavor from our current menu.

  3. If you have an anniversary code from your wedding order, enter it at checkout.

  4. Complete your order and get ready to celebrate!

Important Details

  • No custom flavors – anniversary cakes are available in current Online Shop flavors.

  • Pickup dates follow our regular Online Shop availability and may be removed as I reach capacity, especially during wedding season.

  • Same‑week orders close Monday at 7pm for weekend pickup.

Codes & Availability

  • If you received an anniversary offer with your wedding order and can’t find your code, send an email and I’ll be happy to look it up.

  • You can usually order 2–3 months in advance; available pickup dates will be shown and will disappear as they book up.

  • For true last‑minute orders, this design remains available only while dates are still open in the Online Shop.

SERVING CHART

Servings sizes are based on a party size 1.5x2” - 2x2” slice. You may cut wedding size slices (1x2”) to increase the number of servings. Cake tiers are 3 layers (5.5-6” tall) unless otherwise indicated.

6 short” | 2 layers, serves 6-8 party

6”  | 3 layers, serves up to 12 party or 12-14 wedding

6 double barrel” | 2 layers, serves 16 party or 24 wedding

8” | 3 layers, serves 20 party or 24-28 wedding

Ordering Guidelines

  • Online orders are available for pick-up on the dates listed in the drop-down window only. If your date is not listed, it is not available. Takes the Cake is home based microbakery, so availability is limited and may fill up quickly.

  • Pick-up is available on Fridays between 11a-5p and Saturdays between 9am-10:30am.

  • Flavor substitutions are not available for Online Shop orders; however, you may omit a filling or swap a flavored buttercream for vanilla. For fully custom flavors, please submit a Custom Inquiry and at least 2 weeks before pickup.

  • Takes the Cake is located in Salem, VA (about a mile from Sheetz on West Main).  Pickup address will be provided in the confirmation email after purchase.
